I am very excited for Eliana and the entire cast and crew of “Beneath the Rock”! So much has been happening with the film, including an article in the Daily News (http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/brooklyn/2011/04/14/2011-04-14_exbrooklyn_cop_turns_life_experiences_into_movie_beneath_the_rock.html), a television spot on Channel 11 (http://www.wpix.com/videobeta/941d4ad0-e000-42ec-95e8-8f2bca29a065/Entertainment/Beneath-The-Rock) and multiple film festivals.

Recently, the film was shown at the Soho International Film Festival to a SOLD OUT house, and the East Harlem International Film Festival is coming up on Saturday June 4th.

You can check out the trailer for the film online at: http://vimeo.com/20888752, or on the film’s official website: www.beneaththerock.com.

                Congratulations to all!

Congratulations to the entire cast and crew of Soopum Sohn's film "Make Yourself At Home"! The film will be screening at MoMA for 6 screenings from October 6th thru October 11th.
FILM SCREENINGS & EVENTSMake Yourself at Home (Fetish) 2008. USA. Directed by Soopum Sohn. Written by Sohn, Margaret Monaghan. With Song Hye-kyo, Arno Frisch, Athena Currey. For his feature debut, New York–based Korean American filmmaker Sohn uses a cleverly scripted supernatural-thriller genre to explore themes of identity and the “Other.” During a brief visit to the “homeland,” Peter (an “Americanized” Korean) helps his mother in brokering his marriage to a Korean girl. When the girl, Sookhy, arrives at his home in upstate New York, she’s in for a culture clash. But Sookhy may not be as innocent as she seemed—she soon begins to assert herself not only at home but at a nearby couple’s house as well. The increasingly outlandish goings-on and the film’s eerie atmosphere of foreboding are balanced throughout by the story’s symbolic underpinnings. In English, Korean; English subtitles. 90 min.

"Oh, oh yeah she exists. She's very much an existing person, she's got tons of existence. Well not too much existence, I don't mean she's huge or anything. She's somewhere between completely imaginary and a truck. If you can picture that."
