Meet the Team.
In grade school, I was the kid on the bus who always had her nose in a book. My favorite sport was checking out as many books as I could carry out of the public library and walking out barely balancing the stack in my arms. But the best part was that reading all those books - made me fall in love with telling stories. I started telling them in pointe shoes, then roller-skates (to the soundtrack of Starlight Express and Funny Girl), then character shoes, and finally in any shoes that happened to fit me. The comedies were my favorites, but I also couldn't help loving the gripping mysteries, epic adventures, and quirky love stories too.
Now, I am happy to be the grown-up on the subway who always has her nose in a script, a book, or some copy. I have learned the value of a sturdy canvas bag rather than rely on my arm strength, and am happy to be consistently telling stories through theatre, voice over, and film projects.
I could tell you I love performing in one venue more than another. That I prefer TV to film, or Shakespeare to contemporary. But really, it's telling the story that matters to me. That's the best part about it. There are so many stories waiting to be told. Some funny, some tragic, some that make us question the world around us. For example, what would I do when faced with a zombie apocalypse?
Good question... cause that sh*t is serious.
